Job Description:

Risk Assessment & Underwriting: Evaluate, underwrite, and price Marine (Cargo & Hull) and Aviation risks (Direct & Facultative) within established authority limits.
Portfolio Management: Analyze portfolio performance, monitor monthly results, and implement strategies to ensure profitable growth and target loss ratios.
Broker & Client Management: Develop and maintain relationships with brokers and clients, negotiating policy terms and conditions to secure new business and manage renewals.
Policy Issuance & Administration: Oversee the issuance of policies, endorsements, and certificates, ensuring accuracy and minimizing errors.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure all underwriting activities comply with internal policies, legal regulations, and reinsurance protocols.
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and coach junior underwriters and administrative staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
Technical Support: Assist with the review of "exception reports" to ensure branches follow guidelines, and support the development of new products.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marine Studies, Insurance, Finance, or equivalent field.
Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Marine Cargo/Hull, Aviation insurance products, policy forms, and reinsurance structures.
Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze risk factors, such as vessel condition, routing, and cargo type.
Experience: 15 years in commercial marine and aviation underwriting.
